Beautiful beaches in Caleta de Fuste

The main beach in Caleta de Fuste is Castillo Beach, there are countless water sports available for tourists in this area, and is surrounded by hotels making it an easy spot for visitors. A short walk from Caleta De Fuste there are four artificial beaches, with one of them having a small beach bar. It’s something a little different in comparison to other places, with the beach bar being a short walk across a footbridge, leaving you sat in the middle of the ocean on an island.

One of the hidden places to visit is Cofete beach, which is located near the mountains that surround the sea. Although it’s difficult to get to, once you do, it’s a breathtaking sight. Mostly, people find themselves feeling at peace, with the vibe proving to be completely different to the tourist hotspots and the beach remains empty on a daily basis.

Things to do in Caleta de Fuste

For the most part, Caleta de Fuste remains a destination for sun, sea and sand. However, tourists are still kept increasingly busy with the odd bits available to do in the centre.

Oceanarium Explorer: Oceanarium Explorer is a fun park for people of all ages, and it’s incredibly child-friendly, making it the perfect choice if you’re looking for an activity to enjoy on your family holiday. Visitors are able to see marine life while taking part in activities and going to shows. There are many activities to do, including boat rides and swimming with sea lions.

Castillo de San Buenaventura: Castillo de San Buenaventura is one of the few things in Fuerteventura which hasn’t been made in the past 30 years. The tower was recognised as a historical monument in 1949, while the rest of the city was turned into a tourist hot spot. The castle was originally built in the 18th century as a defence area, and as one of the only old buildings in the city, it’s worth making the visit.
