See the city from the top of the Empire State Building: If you’re not a fan of heights, read on, because a trip up the Empire State Building will see you rise 102 floors to observe the ongoings of New York and Central Park in particular below. The main observation deck is situated on the 86th floor, where you’ll enjoy a 360° view of New York. There is also an exhibit on the 80th floor that celebrates the people who helped create this impressive feature on the city’s skyline.

Marvel at the New York Public Library: You’ll never think libraries are boring again after stepping foot in this incredibly beautiful building. Its main entrance alone features delicate, dangling chandeliers from impressively high ceilings and if you’re a fan of the Ghostbusters you can walk the aisles where Bill Murray and cast step foot to film the iconic spooky librarian scene. Spend an afternoon taking in this incredible building, enjoy the peace and quiet and perhaps find a comfy seat and turn a few pages in a book or two.
