Cuba holidays

Cuba is the is the largest island in the region and has become a popular tourist destination. The island boasts an intrinsic passion and evokes a natural warmth from the moment your feet touch the tarmac. As one of the last bastions of communism, this elegant grand dame is almost reaching cult status, attracting a movement of writers, musicians and hardcore travellers in search of the latest hip destination and Cuba offers just that. Awarded a UNESCO World Heritage accolade, Cuba’s capital city Havana bursts with character. The tired facades of the colonial buildings and the vintage cars all add to the fascinating flair of this time-warped city. Varadero is the most popular of the beach resorts and is said to have one of the best beaches in the Caribbean, stretching over 13 km. With water front restaurants and lively beach bars, this is a popular resort for all the family and is home to some of the best hotels on the island. The Holguin region offers a much more laid back feel and you’ll find a scattering of hotels dotted along the coast where the emphasis very much geared around a good book and the odd cocktail (or two).
