Get lost in Kos Town: With this thriving capital just moments from Lambi, it would be rude not to take advantage of its marvels. Witness 15th century castles, explore Roman, Ottoman and Italian architecture or simply dine in authentic eateries. There’s a bustling harbour too, dotted with luxury yachts and stylish boutiques. Main highlights include the impressive Castle of Neratzia, the tree of Hippocrates and the Museum of Underwater Archaeology.

Sail to Bodrum: There’s a direct ferry straight to Turkey which only takes 50 minutes and places you in the culture-rich city of Bodrum. Legend has it that the Father of History, Herodotus was born here, so expect plenty of heritage. It’s also home to a 13,000 seated Greek theatre and the four Castle Towers – English, French, German and Gatineau, which boasts camera-worthy views. It’s worth picking up a bargain at its famed bazaar stuffed with handmade goods, folk art and spices.
