As the second largest town in Halkidiki, Nea Moudania’s authentic character is present throughout the resort. With narrow cobbled streets and traditional fishing boats, you can’t get away from its seafaring past. Home to one of the biggest ports in the Mediterranean, you’ll find a wide selection of tavernas serving up the freshest seafood. The beach attracts its fair share of bathers with activities along the sand and watersports in the sea. The nightlife has a laid-back vibe from sunset cocktails to waterfront venues promising fantastic views of the marina. It’s also 60 kilometres south of Thessaloniki, where you’ll find a mix of UNESCO-listed ruins and modern eateries.

From day until night, holidaymakers can enjoy the many bars and restaurants dotted across the resort. If Greece’s beauty doesn’t impress you, it’s mouthwatering food certainly will! Alongside the country’s most famous dishes, Halkidiki has some culinary surprises of its own. Known for its local pastries with bakeries everywhere, there’s a real emphasis on raw produce across the island with hand-crafted bread made with the freshest dough to pies filled with spinach and cheese.
You can’t ignore the fish-filled waters either. Taking full advantage of its port, expect the freshest seafood with tavernas serving up favourites such as sardines and gavros. If you decide to visit in July you may even get to experience its annual Sardine Festival, where you can try the tastiest catches accompanied by the finest wine. In terms of drinks, Ouzo is the Greek’s favourite nightcap if you want to try something authentic.
