Cala Bona is made up of a number of smaller beaches, think twinkling turquoise waters and manmade rocky coves. While the two main beaches are sandy, they do also contain areas of gravel which is worth noting if you have young children, the low cliffs and pebbles may also make some parts of the beach unsuitable for younger ones. That being said, the majority of beaches are perfectly safe for kids with lifeguards on duty and playgrounds to enjoy. There’s plenty of nearby bars and restaurants surrounding Cala Bona’s main beach if you’re feeling hungry.

Caves of Drach: Located just a 20-minute drive from Cala Bona are the Caves of Drach, four magical caves extending to a depth of 25m. The caves have been explored since the 1800s and are a key attraction in Majorca. Discover the enchanting Lake Martel, Europe’s largest underground lake! Photography is generally permitted, so be sure to pack your camera but remember to turn off the flash.

Son Servera Market: The closest market to Cala Bona is the Son Servera market, based in nearby Cala Millor. Every Friday morning you can find leather bags, lace tablecloths, trinkets and pottery. There are roughly 200 stalls in total making it the perfect destination to treat yourself and pick up a few souvenirs for family and friends back home. How about a nice piece of homeware to remind you of your holiday?

Seafront Bike Ride: With bike hire widely available in Cala Bona, it’s worth looking into picking up a cycle for your time here. Enjoy seafront bike rides along the promenade which has its own cycle track. If you’re looking for adventure, there are a number of different cycle routes away from the main strip. Just make sure you pack plenty of water as well as a map just in case your 3G signal fails you. The last thing you want is to be lost in the wilderness!
